OD and Love: a radical approach for loveless times?
November 4, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
A one day workshop for anyone supporting organisations in times of significant change.
Helena Clayton has been working in organisations for 25 years, in organisational development and leadership development, and is concerned about some of what she sees there. Have organisations become loveless places? It sometimes feels so.
In which case, is something bold and radical needed now? What can help us face into the tough times and remain connected with each other?
As OD practitioners, we have a responsibility to bring the system what is doesn’t have enough of. Could that be love, asks Helena. And what might that mean for us in practice?
This event is for HR and OD professionals as well as leaders – for anyone who understands the importance of shaping our organisational cultures to be regenerative and not damaging, who cares about the ways that leadership shapes the experience of work, and understands that the way we treat each other at work matters deeply.
We will look at new research into love and explore what a new understanding of love brings us in these demanding times. There’ll be rich and provocative discussion and plenty of creative conversations. And you’ll leave with new questions to explore as well as practical things to apply and experiment with.
We’ll explore things like: what OD models and frameworks are underpinned by love? What are the OD values and how do they align with love? And how can our practice be both professional and loving?
This thought provoking workshop draws on Helena’s research with plenty of space for discussion and exploration of both theory and practice.
There is a small charge of £35 + VAT for members of ODN Europe and £50 + VAT for non-members.
