AI enhanced organisation design – implications for OD&D
The integration of AI into operating models is not just a technological shift—it needs a mindset and behavioural and ways of working transformation. For companies to stay competitive and thrive, AI needs to be embedded into the very fabric of their organisation so people and AI work in concert to create a symphony of value.
On 23rd January Nick Richmond of Tricordant and Tim de Boer of Reconfig led an ODNE webinar exploring AI enhanced organisation design, exploring implications for OD&D. During the webinar we recognised that AI is already here with 75% of knowledge workers already using genAI with most reluctant to admit they use it for their most important tasks.
With many people and organisations experimenting with genAI it prompts the question “how do you get from individual use cases to an orchestra of AI and people creating a symphony of value?”
We then explored how Tricordant and Reconfig use a human centric organisation design approach which is supercharged by Reconfig’s genAI platform to create digital twins of organisations. Tim demostrated the Reconfig genAI platform to highlight the impact AI can have on organisations. A simulation of an organisation indicated c.25% of total work capacity, in hours per month, could be redeployed / retrained to other priorities by implementing genAI.
